HOW WE STARTED

HOW WE STARTED

Indian cooking has always demanded the most from its cookware and for generations, cast iron was the most trusted material in the Indian kitchen, handling high heat, heavy curries, and daily use without complaint. But the weight, the rusting, and the constant seasoning slowly pushed it out of modern kitchens, and nothing that came after truly replaced it.

In 2024, we studied eight cookware materials and spoke to home cooks across generations. What we found was a deeper problem: Indian kitchens have multiple users with conflicting needs. The person buying the pan wants it to be healthy and safe. The person cooking in it every day wants it to be easy and practical. And Indians use their cookware two to three times longer than the global average, so durability is never optional. Every alternative in the market was solving for one of these and failing the rest.

We built Kroslo to close that gap. Cookware engineered around three non-negotiables: healthy cooking, practical everyday use and longevity. That answer became our Tironox Collection, built on proprietary Triforge™ technology, designed specifically for the way India cooks.

OUR FOUNDERS

PRANAV

THE PRACTICAL MIND

Pranav’s practical approach to everything means asking one essential question before anything else: does it actually work? From cooking daily meals to long simmering sessions, he manually tests every pan himself. Not just through cooking but through everything that comes after: cleaning with steel scrubbers, overnight soaks, and challenging the surface with everything a real Indian kitchen throws at it day after day. His standard is simple.
If it does not survive his kitchen, it will not make it to yours!

AASTHA

THE TECHNICAL MIND

Aastha brings the science behind the surface. Whether it’s about how materials interact with heat or how coatings responds to the dynamics of Indian Kitchens, what drives her is not just the technical rigour, but her purpose to make sure every family cooking with Kroslo never has to second guess what is going into their food.
